How much is your grocery bill in Anchorage, AK? What are the prices like? I have the opportunity to move back up to Anchorage after being away for 4 1/2 years to attend UAA and get my journalism degree and I am curious to know what everyone is spending on a grocery bill? My aunt and friend keep telling me food is astronomical up there. I'm talking about Milk, bread,eggs, soda and such. here's what I pay in AZ. how do the prices in Anchorage compare?? I don't want to spend too much considering I will be working mostly part time. I'm only 19 of course.
Milk: $2.99
Bread: $1.19
eggs: $2.29
Soda: $3.99
Sugar: $1.19
Also, I don't recall there ever being a WILD OATS or WHOLE FOODS MARKET and the website says there aren't any in AK!!! Anyone know of similar places in Anchorage?
