Looking for any input on Valencia Community College in Orlando/Winter Park FL. Whats the general opi
the campus and student body. Im thinking of attending the school for 2 years and then transferring. What are the students and teachers like?
the campus...(East Campus), the students, i want to get my AA and then transfer to a larger University....just looking for thoughts
I took classes there and I thought it was good. smaller campus but do not offer a lot of classes. If you can find classes to take there go for it! It would be better going there than the east or west campus which always has a parking problem
transfering to a dfferent community college?
I have taken 4 courses over this semester in Valencia community college in Orlando, Fl. I will be moving to Raleigh, NC. My question is can you transfer your credits over to the new college? Also, can you take the cpt (college placement test) again at a different community college, since they have a different curriculum?
It will probably transfer - but check with the college to find out. Depending on the classes you took, you might not have to take a college placement test again. (For example, if you took Calculus and passed with a B, they might waive the math test.)

Do you need SAT/Act to get into community college?
Ok, at first I was going to ITT Tech and there tution is 43,000... that is alot, then we contacted UCF it would cost me total 20,000 or so. Now I never took my SAT/ACT cause ITT doesn't require.
Now I have to do 2 years at Valencia Community College in Orlando Fl since I don't have language credits. What i'm asking is do I need to have sat/act scores to get into a community college? They have called us back yet so I haven't had the chance to ask...
Most Community Colleges require you to take a "placement test". Which basically lets them know "where you're at' academically. It is just a general test usually taken on a computer. It usually covers math and English skills. It is a pretty easy test. Most colleges will let you take it a second time if you aren't satisfied with your score.
