I live in WA state. I just filed my Federal tax return. Do I still need to fill out STATE TAX RETURN I live in WA state. I just filed my Federal tax return. Do I still need to fill out STATE TAX RETURN FOR WA? Does anyone know how it work in WA state?
Washington State does not have a personal or corporate income tax.
How Much is the WA vote to the Liberals? Is howard buying the WA vote but spending more there than anywhere else, is it fair to the other states, with an intrest rate coming up, can Australia afford so much spending ,If there is so much money around before this election, why was this not done during the last 11 years of govenment.
WA's contributions to the national economy is higher than any other state due to the mining boom. Is it not then fair to re-invest a higher amount of federal funds into WA to give something back. Yes, there is an increasing mining population in WA so there is increasing demand for funding of infrastructure services. It is also fair to the other states that WA is getting a larger investment because the extra funds are aimed at trying to maximise growth of WA, and as long as WA is growing and the mining boom continues then the National economy continues to grow, which in turn benefits the nation, not just WA. As far as whether Australia can afford to be spending when it puts upward pressure on interest rates, there are always going to be areas which require spending and if its not WA it will be somewhere else. If we really want to reduce interest rates then it is up to each individual consumer not to upgrade their mobile phone or TV every year or two, not to spend inconsequential items. One of the largest influences on interest rates is consume spending and when you take out necessary expenditure (like grocery's and petrol) a large chunk of what is left is items that consumers purchase to upgrade items that are in perfect working order, but are just not the latest and top-of-the-line model.

The epicenters of these quakes were not in the Seattle area, but Seattle experienced death and destruction from both. I was there for the '65 quake, and it was quite terrifying.
