Has anyone booked accommodation on-line (apart from using Wotif).?
If so, any particularly good sites. We are going to Canada in July and I wanted to book some hotels.
I have been using online hotel booking for a long time and its really good. The obvious benefit is that you do not have to rely on one travel agent for all the information on whats available to you.
- You can find out what all hotels are available in a particular area.
- You can compare their ratings
- Read reviews from people who have stayed there.
- Compare prices.
- Look for package deals including flights/food/car etc
- You are not tied to just what one travel agent can offer
- You have access to all hotels in the area without having to leave your computer.
- Internet rates are usually cheaper than other rates because there are no middlemen involved.
Just some things to be aware of:
- Use only well known secure websites
- Read through T&Cs
- Make sure you know check -in/out fees and cancellation penalty

Just google the name of the place you are going to and you'll see plenty of hotel reservation websites.
