I'm fed up of YA. I asked a Q about ages and they haven't shown it. It's alright to say about gays but not about ages?

The main thing I've learned is that unfortunately, there are tons of people who don't understand dogs, dog behavior, how to train them or many of the basic things that I take for granted.
Those people are the adoption base that applies every day to adopt a dog from my organization and all the others out there.
I learned that we (at my organization) need to step up all of our educational activities. I also learned that I personally have to ask better questions when people apply and be prepared to help them become good, responsible dog owners.
YA has been an invaluable tool for me in that respect. It's a perfect example of audience analysis. And I now see home many ways people can misinterpret things, become confused and just all around need my help - both here and in "real life".
While we always followed up on adoptions, I'm doing much more of that personally. I ask them how the housebreaking is going - are they stuck? I ask about training. Do they have any problems, I also ask them if they have questions... Some people don't want to bother us but when I email or call them and ask how is it going - More than once... they do open up and ask for help.
I would never have known this until I started hanging out here. While its frustrating sometimes, I get way more back from YA than I could ever give.
And on a related note, I now know some people to ask about specific breeds. I may not post the question here, but I'll look up people and email them about a specific breed question I may have. I'm very grateful to have them as a resource.
Plus, it's a great way to just hang out and talk about dogs. I love that part best!

What "category" within YA is the best to get intelligent questions and answers?
I've been all through YA and am surprised that the majority of answers are silly or ridiculous, even if it is a serious question.
In your experience with YA, which category have you found to have the most stimulating answers?
