thats one way, the other way would be to directly log on to:
www.mail.yahoo.co.uk
or
www.mail.yahoo.com
and sign in
And you can directly send mail via yahoo, your local service provider only needs to ensure that yahoo is accessible for you

I used to be able to click on any email address link and my yahoo mail beta would automatically load and set up a compose template, I have a new pc now and I am not sure how to set that up?
I have windows vista by the way, and I am still learning to manuever through it, I dont even know how to get to where the first answerer is telling me, I can get to control panel, but the options arent the ones I am used too from xp, I dont even have an add/remove option in the first screen
I can get to the add or make defult option, but it only has certain programs listed to use yahoo is not one of them

I use a different server for my mail, but want to add my yahoo mail to it.
Yahoo.com has not allowed the POPping of their mail for some time now. So you can only do it by installing a third party bit of software. Here is an extract from the site in question.
"YPOPs! is a Windows, Linux, Solaris and Mac program providing POP3 access to Yahoo! Mail.
Yahoo! Mail disabled free access to its POP3 service in April 2002. This resulted in many people to look for alternative free POP3 services.
But this exercise can be very difficult because of the fact that your Yahoo! Mail address could be with several people and informing all of them about your new email address could prove to be a nightmare.
This application emulates a POP3 server and enables popular email clients like Outlook, Netscape, Eudora, Mozilla, Calypso, etc., to download email from Yahoo! accounts.
We do not go against the license agreements of Yahoo! Mail. This application is completely legitimate and well within the realms of legal software."
