It’s an open source alternative to Google Maps, Yahoo Maps. MapBlast, MapQuest, etc. I haven’t done anything with it except to map my neighbourhood, but the potential and eas on use is impressive. Here’s a link.

Thank you to all who responded to my frustration. On my home page, there is a module "Yahoo Maps." When you click to open it, it gives the traffic for Sunnyvale, CA. I would like it to show the traffic for where I live. Thanks!
press, change city, then put in your city and this is the important part, you MUST press 'search' (or the magnifying symbol), so your city stays there instead of sunnyvale. Then, you MUST check the little square saying: "use this as my default city" so it stays there all the time. good luck.

If you're using Yahoo! Broadband Maps then type the address you want into the A box in the Get Map and Directions area and hit the Enter key or click the Go button.
If this doesn't work then you may want to try Yahoo! Dial-Up Maps. Either click on the Dial-Up Maps (Original) link at the top of the Broadband Maps page or you can get there directly at http://maps.yahoo.com/dialup
On Dial-Up Maps type the address into the entry box in the "Get a Map" area, hit the Enter key or click the Get Map button.
If none of this works you can try to construct a URL to get you there directly. Copy the following or type it into the URL/address field of your browser:

After the "=" sign type the desired address. This should work for most addresses as long as they don't include special characters.
